Just came across this in an Sean Egan interview with Topper:
There have been rumors that Mick played some of Paul's basslines on records.
Yeah, he did.

On every record?
On a hell of a lot, yeah.

Did Paul mind?
No. Paul's role in the band was mainly onstage and in charge of the artwork and the look of the band.
He's like the Andrew Fletcher of the Clash!

But it fails to mention that Paul made an awesome cup of tea.

I visited SNEWS once but left pretty quickly. I couldn't understand what was going on.
Basically our dream thread, but only Clash related, plus questions about Joe's favourite snacks.
Who remembers when IMCT went down and everyone turned up at Snews and it turned into a big punch up and we were asked to leave 😂

It was like the visigoths sacking Rome. We were pretty shitty, tho, fucking with their community ethos like that.

There were some good people st Snews and I know a lot of people frequented both Snews and IMCT but it just seemed to lack humour? Everything was taken so seriously.
It was like the kids from the comprehensive school meeting the private school kids in the town!
