You do realize there's five more sides to that album, yeah? ;)

At over 294,576 hours of play, I think you're playing it at 16 RPM, not 33 1⁄3 RPM. Check that will you? ;)

Side 6 should be played at 78rpm.

There is no evidence that this is actually true.

For those who bought the album when it came out, what was your very first reaction when you heard "Hitsville U.K."? Be honest here...

I didn't buy it when it came out, but when I first heard it I quite liked it. I saved my bemusement for Look Here and Mensforth Hill.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I did, too, especially what it was about. For me, the b-word probably kicked in when I heard the kiddie-sung "Career Opportunities"!

'Guns Of Brixton' had the same effect on me. Does anyone have 'Broadway' without that on the end? I would gladly swap an edit for how it stands.

Same as I feel today I really like the track and the nod to all the indie labels/groups. However the backing vocals are just plain awful.

I really like Look Here as I already knew this Mose Alison track. The Who had covered Young Man Blues on their Live at Leeds album so I had already checked out Mose Alison and had a compilation tape with Look Here on it.

Mensforth Hill - I've never had a problem with this track as I love experimental stuff. However it would've made more sense to have given this track and all the other oddities away as a freebie. Having Mensforth Hill play right after Charlie Don't Surf is a mistake.

A remixed Up In Heaven (Not Only Here) should've been a single instead of Hitsville U.K.
