Thanks, Marky: the echoey intro is from the first run-through that I did, the body of the song is take V, and the opening bit -- we all know and love that one, which is why it had go on. I did a second version with the "Now I wanna sniff some glue" section added as a coda, but I held that one back because I thought it made the song a bit too long...we'll keep that one on hand for the 50th anniversary, too, I suspect.

Nice piece of work: we could almost subtitle this'un "The Masses Being Hollowed Out Mix," or something along those lines. Given the stats being recited, it seems like "faking it" might be the only option left...

Thanks, Marky...by the time I was playing the acoustic, I felt warmed up enough to try it the uptempo way. But I thought it could benefit from a bit more aggression -- which is why it wound up being the only take. Couldn't put my throat through it again!
