So which boot is that exactly?BostonBeaneater wrote:Who is singing back up in Somebody Got Murdered? I need the info.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Re: Chaos in New York
Sounds very much to me like Mick Jones is singing a backing vocal as well as lead vocal on the track until Joe Strummer joins in with the "sounds like murder are they drunk down below" line and then Mick comes back in with H.O.M.I.C.I.D.E. murder!!!!!!!!!!!

I only hear Mick and Joe?
Re: Chaos in New York
Okay, I was confused as to whether it was 6/4/81 like my google search told me or 6/9/81 like my Clash instincts told me.Jimmy Jazz wrote:I only hear Mick and Joe?
Sandinista - Mick sings all vocal parts on the chorus - the lead low harmony and the two (my bad ears tell me two, not one) highly reverbed high harmonies. Live, Mick, Joe and Paul would all shout the same melody "Got Murdered!" with Paul not really being audible.

Re: Chaos in New York
only 6/8 and 6/9 exists in soundboard quality. the 6/4 date is incorrect. chaos in new york is from 6/9

From 6/8 it's just the song Bankrobber though, not the whole show, right?x3em wrote:only 6/8 and 6/9 exists in soundboard quality.
