New Clash Book due in France in October

Hi,

there's a book planned to be issued in France on October the 18th called "The Clash".
One review I read says it's supposed to presented unseen material, posters, paintings... including unearthed material from Joe and the band archives.
About 300 pages for 50 €.
Can someone tell me more about it ?

Could it be the interview book, which was mentioned on the Shea Stadium thread? If so it is not worth the money. We have all read and heard those interviews a thousand times over.

I have bought a book called "The Clash talking". Nice book
this one is supposed to be full of rare things. Definitly more than just interviews

amazon uk now has it for £19.80 preorder - this could be a real bargin.
that cover is pretty fucking cool - make it's it look for real *gets excited*

Either it's going to end up crappier than the U2 / Python versions of that sort of book (and quickly appear in a remainder shop near you) or it'll be as good as The Beatles one - sounds like it's a rip off that idea (Westway transcripts replacing Beatles Anthology ones) but as long it's as quality as that was or better that don't matter,

i think too that this cover sucks.
When it comes about punk, why do they always have to use flashy pink, yellow, green...
This is more a Sex Pistols than a clash colour !
