Lovers Rock fan signing in. Mick’s guitar work is utterly sublime. Weakest LC track is Koka Kola, though. It is merely pretty good.

"Coming through the door is a snub nose 44, what the barrel can't snort it can splatter on the floor" is one of the best lyrics on the album though. I agree with this post. And re Lovers Rock, I used to hate it, but I have grown to kind of love it because rarely to rock stars sing about sexually pleasing women. It is a great lyric for sure. It’s a fine song in concept too. When I suggest it’s the weakest track on the album it’s merely in the way that one song has to be. Side 3 is the weakest for me in the same way, I can’t find much fault with it at all but in comparing degrees of excellence, it falls just that fraction of an inch short.
