In all seriousness, this is one of the best things I've ever created. Depending on your opinion, that could be a rather sad indictment, but I'll accept it.

Nice paraphrase of my dissertation adviser's summary comments. :approve:

If I recall - wasn't Up With People created as a counter to the hippie movement?

More or less. It was about trying to harness youth culture—music, group identification and activism, optimism—and steer it to supporting institutions. In the mid-80s, my family billeted one of those weirdos for a couple nights when they came thru my town. Our guest was positive to the point of being very creepy.

If we remove the blackened letters from "Cut the Crap," we are left with the word "utter." And rearranging the blackened letters forms "patch." Utter patch? Patch utter? This surely means something. But what? But what?!

Inder: Feel free to move this to the DCT thread if you believe it is warranted.
Not enough T's... the second 'word' is made up from CHCAP

Or am I high?
By Isis, you're right! It's actually Utter Chap—not rearranging required. Was this supposed to be an Up With People album?

Gooble Gobble! Gooble Gobble!

I love horror films - but I find Freaks to be very hard to watch. It's a very unsettling film.

Had an idea for a UK Subs style song today called the Ballad of Terry Chimes

Click crack
I'll fix your back
They called me Tory Crimes
My name is Terry Chimes

I wanted a red Lamborghini
They were gonna change the world
Were never gonna see me
My dream has unfurled
The world is still the same
You will remember my name

I've been bitten by the dog
Living high on the hog
Went on the Anarchy tour
Hope your spine isn't sore
I came back in '83
Cos smack wasn't for me

Click... Crack...

And so on

I like the nod to Joe with his often used double double rhyme.
