Re: The Clash observations thread.
So I've recently read that Mick did a soundtrack for Hell W10 that Joe rejected and then the Combat Rock instrumentals were eventually used. I wonder if this soundtrack still exists? Also a 15 minute version of "Sean Flynn" possibly recorded at Marcus Music. Any ideas Teddy?

Mick was a hoarder, wasn't he, so you'd never know. I wonder if some of it ended up on the first BAD album?Marky Dread wrote: ↑03 Sep 2017, 2:16pmSo I've recently read that Mick did a soundtrack for Hell W10 that Joe rejected and then the Combat Rock instrumentals were eventually used. Yeah me too. It is said to be a hip-hop style soundtrack so that would fit.Low Down Low wrote: ↑03 Sep 2017, 6:49pmMick was a hoarder, wasn't he, so you'd never know. After all the recent chat, I've started a note-for-note recreation of Dictator as heard on the Cut the Crap. So far, I have drums and marimbas.

Just goes to show, when you're told to let the raga drop, do it.

An observation: the Munich 77 show is so weird because the house lights are on the whole time. Was that a university show or something?

Re: The Clash observations thread.
The concert was at "Schwabinger Bräu" which I think is an old beer hall. Schwabinger Bach is a stream in Munich so I guess it takes it's name from that. Looking across the net it has hosted a lot of artists. Cure/Talikng Heads/Siouxsie/AC/DC ...

Cool find. I hear a faint element of Lose This Skin in there too. The motif that starts in the beginning is "while we're young and almost free" from LTS, notewise (I think).Marky Dread wrote: ↑21 Sep 2017, 10:22pmLearn something new everyday in Clash world.
