Two snippets from Smash Hits magazine:
Joe producing the Little Roosters album and penning the liner notes for Lee Dorsey comp; plus Ray Lowry book.

Cool, never knew about the Lee Dorsey sleeve notes. Love Lee Dorsey also.
I'd forgotten about those sleeve notes - never owned the LP but remember reading them on a copy in a record shop, some time last century.
They're great, even more so cos they're printed in Joe's handwriting.

"I never doubted myself for a minute for I knew that my monkey-strong bowels were girded with strength, like the loins of a dragon ribboned with fat and the opulence of buffalo dung." - Richard Nixon, Checkers Speech, abandoned early draft
And then, like an ancient curse fulfilled, it did. God, that fucking album plagued my high school.

Whitesnake or KISS....some choice!
If ever crab juice were the preferable option.
