I'm goddamn serious.
But then, I was drunk so I stagecrashed them during that song and the singer gave up and let me take over on lead vocals for the last third of the song...
I had to prove him wrong. The Jolts turned out to be a band of attractive douchebags. After the song he was like "Well..I guess you're the only one in here who knows the Clash then..."

I once heard The Strokes doing a cover of Clampdown when i seen them live about 10 years ago
Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, "life" has surface noise."

I've noticed Elvis Costello doing 'Straight To Hell' getting mentioned a couple of times. I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone post? If it is an official recording, why hasn't Elvis re-released it thirteen times like everything else he's done?
How come no-one's mentioned Sham 69 doing 'White Riot'? That used to annoy me because they didn't have any better songs themselves and they didn't have 'it' when they covered it.

I think they mean this from his 'Spectacle' TV show. He covered it with Jakob Dylan...dave202 wrote:I've noticed Elvis Costello doing 'Straight To Hell' getting mentioned a couple of times. I don't understand all this negativity regards to Sham 69. They had some fucking great singles. Sure Pursey was a dick but no more so than what Joe became in The Clash II years.Heston wrote:What about Sham 69 doing "everything?"

Dunno mate, could never get away with Jimmy's bark. Admittedly, they had some gome good tunes.Marky Dread wrote:I don't understand all this negativity regards to Sham 69. Flexy Dread. A fine punk singles band. I loved "Kids are United" when I was, well, a kid. Nothing wrong with that.Marky Dread wrote:I don't understand all this negativity regards to Sham 69.
