That elusive London SS tape, too. Wasn't Campino supposed to have a copy?
Both Mick and Tony have copies. Also TeddyB mentioned here previously that the tape was cleaned up when Tony had the first Generation X album remastered. Though there are no plans to release the tape.
Guess there's a reason why both Mick and Tony are reluctant to share it, and we'll have to respect that.
Well it won't only be Mick and Tony on the recordings. Maybe Brian James is on them and Geir Wade/Eunan Brady/John Brown etc. Was a bit of a revolving door of various people coming and going. I would love to know what's on the tape. Early versions of "Protex Blue" and what became "Fish" on the Damneds' debut album. There was mention of a track called "Barracuda". I hope it's not Paul attempting to sing "Roadrunner".
It's never been released in all this time so I doubt it ever will be. So all we can do is hope like the hopeless fools we are.

I'm patiently waiting for the remaster job on Valley Of The Dolls

Did they do that one the same time as the debut?

I've been hoping for the either Valley of the Dolls or Kiss Me Deadly to be remastered and expanded. I'd love to hear either given the full treatment. Apparently, the 2002 remaster of Kiss Me Deadly was from an inferior source.
Terry played on the last Gen X lp and his style suited the vibe they were going for. I don't think subsequent versions of Dancing With Myself ever captured that arrangement.
The Terry 82 tours lacked Topper's fire and skills, but I think he did OK under the circumstances. The pressure was certainly on the others to over perform.

Tony was asked about it during the original Gen Sex formation before lockdown and he said it would be next.

It would have to be KMD Sweet Revenge for me though.

A deluxe edition would surely contain both.

Somewhere in the vaults, I would guess that the full Concerts for Kampuchea shows exist. Not just the Clash but the other bands as well. That would be a helluva box set. I can imagine getting the legalities sorted out with all those bands/labels makes it nearly impossible but even just the Clash set would be great. One of my earliest Clash boots and still one of my favs.
