A Christmas Gift For You from Mohawk Revenge

Post by AudioAmmunition »

For those of you who don't know, earlier this year Gerald Manns of Mohawk Revenge used the same techniques as those used to create the fantastic Cut The Crap Rebooted on 3 live tracks by The Clash Mark 2. Extracting Joe's live vocals and adding guitars and drums recorded by himself Gerald released these on a limited edition 7" vinyl single containing In The Pouring Rain, Jericho (also known as Ammunition) and Glue Zombie.

Gerald has very kindly shared the WAV files with me as I do not have vinyl playing facilities any more and has given me permission to share the tracks with those of you who would be interested in them. Just PM me for a WeTransfer link. Please form an orderly queue and no fighting at the back ;)

Great work, especially with the audio limitations on Glue Zombie and Jericho.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

What an unexpected groovy treat! I was wondering what these would sound like, and they are great. Gerald Manns is the man of the year!

A special thank you to AudioAmmunition and of course Gerald Manns.
Fantastic work in the "fixing" of Cut The Crap and these live songs.
I was wondering though...
Was there any consideration to "fixing" Do It Now and Sex Mad Roar?

Thanks Gerald, it's amazing what you can do. Pouring rain has always been my favorite song from this era.
