Best London Calling Vinyl pressing?

Post by motorsmell »

Whats everyone's thoughts on the best quality vinyl pressing of LC? I have had the legacy pressing for a while as I've never found a decent OG in the wild...I'm I missing out or is the OG a vast improvement?

Cheers, sorry if this discussed elsewhere.

I don't have the disposable income to buy a bunch of copies of this and do a shootout, it the OG UK "timtom" pressing is still usually considered the gold standard: https://www.discogs.com/release/470912- ... on-Calling

For reissues, SOME of the 2013 reissues were cut by Chris Bellman, those are also well regarded: https://www.discogs.com/release/5080406 ... on-Calling
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

This is the pressing i have and the notes state that Mick got Tim Tom back in action to cut this one...so i think maybe this may be the best i can get until i find a decent OG Tim Tom pressing
