Just gave Marky's remaster a quick relisten and yeah, it's the 17th.matedog wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 1:16pmIs the footage the 16th or the 17th?Marky Dread wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 12:34pmI'm at the gig in the footage.Toppers Boppers wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 10:42amGreat footage, takes me back, was near the front the week before this at Bristol Colston Hall.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I was very slightly hoping we'd get something from the 16th, but more than happy to have video from the 17th. One of my all time favs. I love how Mikey is center stage even for Bankrobber and Joe is shouting his lyrics from Paul's mic.Marky Dread wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 1:50pmYes mate it's the Tuesday night.matedog wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 1:34pmJust gave Marky's remaster a quick relisten and yeah, it's the 17th.matedog wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 1:16pmIs the footage the 16th or the 17th?Marky Dread wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 12:34pmI'm at the gig in the footage.Toppers Boppers wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 10:42am

Did look but nope. I was fairly close to the front at one point. But the crowd forever moving you found yourself shoved all over. The punk gigs I went to were always like this. In the end I used to push myself right to the front at gigs. The only times I ever spotted myself on film is The Damned's 10th anniversary gig at the Town and Country club and The Manic Street Preachers at Band Explosion for radio one at the Marquee. I wish I could be seen at a Clash gig but sadly no. I've scoured all the pics from Victoria Park but I can't pick myself out. Still I know I was there and that's all that matters to me.Toppers Boppers wrote: ↑14 Apr 2021, 5:38amNice one, did you spot yourself?Marky Dread wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 12:34pmI'm at the gig in the footage.Toppers Boppers wrote: ↑13 Apr 2021, 10:42amGreat footage, takes me back, was near the front the week before this at Bristol Colston Hall.

Thanks Marky, great stuff but I can't seem to hear any sound, anybody else?
It seems as if they're teasing with a few clips released here and there, can't wait to see all of it.

No sound mate sadly. As you say just a tease. Don't know if it's just silent or if you join you will get sound and the full clip?

If anyone can work out the song a new soundtrack could be applied.
