Kind of a 1 and 1a ranking unless we're talking cover art—zero effort on Solid Gold. My sole objection to both albums, but especially Entertainment!, is how low in the mix Dave Allen's bass is. The Peel Sessions disc is so much better because it shows off the rhythm section more.
While on the Gang, is there a CD that compiles odds and ends and B-Sides like Armalite Rifle and single mixes?
No, but if there's interest here I could put one together using the Infinite Zero re-releases and the 100 Flowers Bloom compilation.

Relative to yesterday, yes.

Other than actual boots and the proper lp's, this is all I got in the vault. I didn't make an actual compilation but grouped things somewhat sensibly so folks don't have to download stuff they already have or don't want. There are five zip files in the folder:
(1) Batch 1: Another Day, Another Dollar ep; Demos 1978; Is It Love 12"; Yellow EP
(2) Batch 2: Cadillac cd-s; I Parade Myself cd-s; Satellite cd-s; Tattoo cd-s; To Hell With Poverty Remix ep
(3) Peel Sessions (this is oop and selling for as much as $135 now; worth hearing the band when the bass is given more prominence)
(4) Misc tracks: mostly remixes of 90s material from 100 Flowers Bloom, but also a few extra cuts from the Infinite Zero re-releases of the first three albums.
(5) Andy Gill's "Dispossession" single. Rather rare, for completists.

(Other than the live tracks on the AD, AD ep, I omitted live versions from 100 Flowers Bloom and Entertainment!)

Okay, that Peel Sessions Disc should have been in my life sooner.

The Vibrators - I Can't Get No Answer

I can't get no answer, fuck you!

Instead, it's actually:

"I can't get no answer from you." :disshame:

When I first heard "New York" by the Sex Pistols I was sure Rotten was singing :

"Your hippy talk's zero" 'cause you put on a bad show.

but it's,

"You're a hippy tart's hero" 'cause you put on a bad show.

As a wee lad of 7 or so, I thought the line in Honky Tonk Woman was: 'gimme gimme gimme a hunk of dog doo'.

A difference perhaps without a distinction, and one ofJ.R.'s weaker lyrics in general. Does it the tart refer to Vivienne or Cyrinda? Sable? Nancy? Of course it would be years before DJo ever actually put on a bad show.
