TGTBATQ's sophomore album, titled Merrie Land, will be released on November 16th:

A bit hasty perhaps (there's a pre-Christmas Michael Bublé LP on its way)... but Merrie Land is album of the year over at The Sunday Times.

Hello,

Where can I get a Generation Sex t-shirt?

Have they posted tour dates?

Am I too optimistic?

I'm surprised Steve has left the area between his house and the radio studio.

Good to see thanks. Steve contribution to those Bollocks tracks is too much for him to ignore them.

Probably won't be a popular opinion based on some of the feedback I've read from the first two singles released but this album upon first listen evokes a sequel to combat rock (maybe rat patrol) by way of parklife... combat rock's more dubby, moody, atmospheric stuff, nothing like rock the casbah on here but paul's bass & tony's drums are the real stars here... along with Visconti's production. not an easy listen, it's not very upbeat but not depressing either, very british.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not liking this album as much as the first one. But Lady Boston and the Poison Tree are great songs.

I’ll give it a fair go on the back of your review.

Just found out this morning that TGTB&TQ are playing 3 warm up gigs later this month in a couple of tiny workingman's clubs a mile from me. tickets apparently went on sale at 9am yesterday and were long gone by the time I heard about it, grrr!!!

https://www.newsguardian.co.uk/whats-on ... -1-9429401
I tried at 9.02 am and they had all gone for all three nights.
The gig is one mile from my house. I was tempted to try and get tickets but I just don't like their music at all.
And I was going to get you a ticket too!
I could have been swayed! ;)
I thought you said you wouldn't cross the road for them. Honestly offer someone a freebie.
