The Call Up
09/06/81
Marky Dread remix, obviously!
For some reason this song, as far as I can recall, was not a set list regular, but this is a very tight and passionate band performance.

I like to think of myself as one who has listened to a ton of Clash boots, but man the Bonds boots never did much for me and I think I've only listened to less than half. 6/10 and 6/13 were pretty good. Aforementioned 6/8 Mag 7 is a must though.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I'm with the dog, here.

Great historical stuff and must've been amazing to see in person. Absolutely no interest in listening to a tired, worn-out band running on whatever comes after fumes playing the same set for a month or whatever.

I think we know what they ran on after fumes. I like a lot of the Bonds material because it is so interactive with being in New York. It was a messy battle, but they done good.

A good question to turn to CBS and Mick Jones, however I say Bankrobber from June 8th (FHTE2)
Music is the only thing that matters

Hello,

Quite a few years back (~10?), someone from this board sent me a collection of cd's of the Bonds' shows. Each cd was a different show and labeled to look like a vinyl record. Also included was a Best of Bonds cd. I'll have to dig around as that was several moves ago (it may have been someone from the Jeff Dove site) and pre-everything going to mp3's, flac's, etc. Thanks to that kind soul if they're still on board. If I can locate it, I'll try to upload.
