Also, just looking at Discogs, anyone familiar with the 2004 Japanese reissue of CTC? New mastering relative to the 2000 reissue or anything?

Extremely stoked for EET WEEK. I actually bought this bad boy in the last year in order to properly celebrate: https://www.discogs.com/The-Clash-Cut-T ... e/10089373
Meaning what? Put it in a fire and huff the toxic fumes?

I went to Japan in 2007 and snapped this photo:

I don't think that answers your question.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Anybody up for a listening party this year? we could do CTC and then F-Punk because why not.

As per Bernie's CTC working method, no terrible idea can be rejected during EET Week.

Maybe I should bash out a cover for EET Week. Any suggestions?

Take a good Clash song and EET-ify it.

Not a bad idea. I could just litter the Ableton piano roll with random notes for brass and drum machine.

I punched my keyboard for my Dictator cover.

I've never heard of F-PUnk other than the Turned Out a Punk song, so I'm game.

What song? I need something easy to do because my interest is likely to wane pretty hard once I start making it.

Something first album would be fun because it's so primal that Bernie-izing it and sending it to the future of 1985 could be wild. Plus it would pay homage to the "back to basics" approach of the 84/85 lineup.
