Sad news RIP Mickey.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Oh no. Condolences to his family, by all accounts a good guy. RIP.

RIP.
Re: Mickey Foote RIP
A very important figure in the history of the band and his production on the first album left an indelible mark on the aesthetic of punk.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Sad, sad news.
Re: Mickey Foote RIP
Cheers for that, a great read. I had no idea he'd been an anti-Trump activist in recent times!
RIP to another huge player in the Clash / punk story.

Re: Mickey Foote RIP
Just thinking that there are not many Clash producers left:
Mickey Foote, Sandy Pearlman, Guy Stevens, Mikey Dread...all now gone.
Just off the top of my head...but that would leave Glyn Johns, Mick, Lee Perry, and "Jose Unidos"!
...but the guys who helped the sonic shape of TC, GEER, LC, and parts of S! are now gone.
Crazily enough, I think Johns is older than any of them.
