How many official versions of "This Is England" exist?

I count three:

Album version - approx 3:50 --> CUT THE CRAP / THE ESSENTIAL CLASH
Single version - approx 3:35 --> SINGLES BOX / THE SINGLES [2007]
7" Dutch version (Dub version) - approx 3:15 --> CLASH ON BROADWAY 4 (THE OUTTAKES) / IF MUSIC COULD TALK VOL.2 / ETC.

it's right? or not? :huh:

That is correct to my knowledge.

The best version is unofficial. Matey's version with Joe's pitch corrected vocal.

What’s the dif between album and single version?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

The single edited out the last verse (Hey British boots go kick Bengali in the head etc...).

@Heston: Many thanks for your expert answer, there is a lot of confusion about the 7" dutch version called from time to time "alternate version", "alternate mix", "dub version", etc. with the same definitions used often for the real single version.
I think the best version of the 7" dutch is on the Cut the crap (redux) track 16, that has the right speed.

I love This Is England, a song that is not drowned in the sea of synthesizers.....
