What books am I missing?
I haven't bought a book about our guys in a long time. These are the ones I have read, and would welcome suggestions for additions to my
collection. Thanks, BasingSt78- 101Walterton

Route 19 Revisited. A great read.

What about the Pennie Smith book? Not much reading, but the photos are nice.

Seconded
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Another vote for Route 19, a way better book than Last Gang in my opinion anyway.

Thing about LGIT is that for years it was the only book.

I have to confess that I gave up on Route 19 perhaps a quarter or a third of the way thru. Too proctological for my tastes. Maybe someday I'll try again, but I much preferred Last Gang (either version) as the narrative had a clear purpose besides thoroughness.

Agreed, much prefer Last Gang to Route 19, for the same reason. It's a headache of a book.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑07 Jan 2018, 8:35pmI have to confess that I gave up on Route 19 perhaps a quarter or a third of the way thru. Too proctological for my tastes. I have that "Clash FAQ" book sitting on my nightstand, but I have yet to open it.

Wow, couple there I’d either forgotten or never heard of to begin with. Plus, going to have to learn Italian and Japanese.laxman wrote: ↑08 Jan 2018, 5:41pmhttp://www.blackmarketclash.co.uk/
A useful list here, in the "in print" section.

Re: What books am I missing?
Those "FAQ" books can be pretty fun. The only one I've really read is "The Beach Boys FAQ" and it was a solid read. Nothing substantial, but a fun collection of thoughts and info - some of which made me laugh out loud. I think it depends on how well the author truly "knows" the band and their music.
Looking at Gary Jucha's Amazon bio it mentions that he "is currently writing a coming-of-age novel employing the Clash's legendary Bonds residency in Times Square in May to June 1981 as the backdrop."
