I love this album for its sheer chutzpah alone. But my favorite album will be celebrating its birthday tomorrow.

I think you'll find that its birthday was last month.*

* No, I didn't know this. I looked it up on Uncle Wiki's Pedia.
You are a LIAR. Now, if you were to say Gerry Rafferty, whom I have an unreasonable soft spot for, you might have gotten away with it!
Got a Rake? Sure!

I love that he adopted the stage name Fyvush; his birth name was Philip.

Every listen brings something new, the only thing wrong with this album is it isn't long enough!

It's rather warming to see the turnaround in fortunes for this album. It was once regarded as an over-indulgent joke, a critical and commercial failure. These days it seems to be gaining ground on LC as everyone's favourite Clash album. Time to reconsider that deluxe edition, Mick.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Still get lost in it, for me a life changing record... I remember how I hated it the first time I heard it, after a couple of weeks I was hooked. Forever...

On first few plays there was some obvious stand out tracks however I’m grateful it was born in an era pre compact disc, skip function or track programme. Unless you were very enthusiastic you listened to it All warts and all. If that had not been the case I would have lost some real gems.

I could put the whole of sides 5 and 6 in Audacity, play it in reverse, add echo, reverb and phaser make it completely unrecognizable and still love it!....as a matter of fact I have done that with Mensforth Hill and I love it.
