Yeah i'd love to see him do something left-field like the choral thing Ray Davies did with some of his old hits. Not convinced Mick would be into something like that but, as you say, we can dream about it at leastMarky Dread wrote: ↑18 Nov 2017, 11:31pmI would love Mick to make a solo album. An old video that I have on DVD and someone has upload it for me, it's cool to hear Mick's guitar solo, not so low in the mix as in the Gorillaz shows.

Lewisham is amazing. Oh to have a pristeen full show. Even better if only the whole show was filmed. The closest thing to Clash heaven.Inder wrote: ↑19 Nov 2017, 3:54pmLove love love it. Jah Wobble & Invaders of the Heart latest is like that, reworking of songs from his back catalogue with some cool covers thrown in, I would love to see Mick do something like that, a mix of clash, bad 1 & 2, c/s, amongst friends tunes, could be really special.Marky Dread wrote: ↑18 Nov 2017, 11:31pmI would love Mick to make a solo album. If and when Mick releases solo material, I doubt there will be old songs reworked or covers involved, with the possible exception of perhaps an unreleased thing. If and when he gets himself out on staqe, however, I would not be surprised if he did some things he's known to have written.

Less interested in those "if's" but the "when's" are very appealing.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑19 Nov 2017, 11:59pmIf and when Mick releases solo material, I doubt there will be old songs reworked or covers involved, with the possible exception of perhaps an unreleased thing. I totally understand should Mick not want to visit former glories and continue to move forward as he's always done regards his studio work. But I for one (as many others) are hungry (starving) for some new serious Mick material.

It'd be totally out of character for Mick to re-record old material.

Very excited for Death is a Star to get performed on stage in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Eighteen.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑19 Nov 2017, 11:59pmIf and when Mick releases solo material, I doubt there will be old songs reworked or covers involved, with the possible exception of perhaps an unreleased thing. Mick rules. I cannot wait for solo material and touring.
