Today i finally listened to your Version of earthquake weather and while i still think this record is quite a stinker i have to say you improved The sound drastically.
The songwriting ist just so weak and so is joes performance in this Album. You can hear what He was going for but how He struggled to actually get there. Thank god he tried again with The mescaleros where He Managed to Sound peace- and powerful.

EW is by far Not as Bad as ctc but almost as painful to listen to.

It still was the most enjoyable listens i ever gave to this Album and i think i will do so again.

Speaking of polishing turds: have you ever laid your mighty hands on spirit of st. Luis?

I've got it but never thought about remixing the sound on it. Maybe I'll have another listen to it. Not exactly high on my priority list. Only a couple of tracks I like on it.

Incoming....take cover! Every Clash fan should have this one.

Agora Ballroom, Cleveland, Ohio, February 13, 1979.

I just don't think there is a better show possible for the pre-LC era Clash. Like I don't think it is theoretically possible to be a better display of the band in this era.

Here's one I did some while back. This one sounds better to me. A great early gig with those songs they never recorded makes this a must have. Very good sound for 1976.

For Laxman.

The Roundhouse, Chalk Farm, September 1976.

Thanks. I didn't really think I could improve the original sound but I did manage to squeeze a little more dynamic from it. I like the show a lot but obviously it gets criticism for lack of atmosphere. But then the band don't go on 'til after midnight and I imagine most fans were just too knackered from the heat etc by then. Joe's comment about bringing on the Grateful Dead is funny.

Hi Marky

I have had the chance to listen to some of these and as I have said to Laxman it is like a never ending Christmas.

Thank you so much for your time and effort that you have put in to doing these.

Not only have we now got far superior sounding boots of some the best and important shows together with great artwork but it has certainly restoked my interest in the live shows.

Cheers mate
