Grabbed! Organizized! Thanks man, that was very kind of you, and I can't say how much I appreciate you going to the trouble. Loved all your work on these other remasters here, but I'm particularly looking forward to spending time going down this Rat rabbit hole again - thank you!

Thanks again, this is such a good collection - like many, I live in hope of one day hearing the full Rat Patrol mixes of Inoculated City etc in the kind of quality we got with the Sound System extras releases, but the stuff here sounds a million times better than I've heard, and the extras are fantastic. Cheers again, Mr Dread, for all your work on all this stuff you share here.

The Common People thank you. I saw the Manchester International show. Deny, can we hear you shouting out at any point on this? :)

Was it the Chiefs of Relief that supported? An ex Pistol and an ex Ant.

Gotta love those eclectic LRW setlists. I didnt manage to see any of these shows despite living in west London for most of 1988. If i bothered with regrets, that would be right up there with the biggest of them. Thanks for the download MD, looking forward to listening to it later.

Its an interesting point. I never saw BAD live so dont know what it was like for Mick who i'd agree deserves a lot of credit for how quickly he put his Clash nightmare behind him, forged a new band identity and kept pushing on ahead. But from seeing Joe numerous times later on, it was fairly evident that a large proportion of the audience didn't just expect a large dollop of Clash but were there with purely Clash songs in mind. So i'd wonder if there wasn't more pressure and expectancy on Joe to fill that role, though it must be said he never seemed less than willing to oblige in any case. For my liking anyway, i thought those later Mescalero set lists remained too top heavy on Clash material and I'm sure i've read somewhere that there was some tension among the band members about it. I liked that they brought something new to a few of the old tunes, but some of the others didnt seem to have much purpose other than as handy crowd pleasers. I dunno, maybe there wasn't much wrong with that?

Mick never seemed interested/comfortable with playing Clash tunes after 1983. You can probably count the number of times he's done it on two hands in the last 35 years which is insane. I admire his desire to push forward, but fuck, I would kill to hear him do Clash songs because there's maybe two or three songs he's done post-Clash that can hold a candle to his Clash songs.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
