What a week to be alive
And a royal wedding to top it off
Gosh, I really hope those two have just a lovely day.

I hope they don't eat too much jelly and ice cream.
Because my wife is, tragically, really into royal bullshit, the tv was on over breakfast, which meant I saw far more of it than I wanted. But I was pleased by the prominent inclusion of African Americans in the ceremony because it must have caused strokes in who knows how many royalists. Oh, to have Phillip mic'd up for the whole thing …

I'm pretty late to the show, but now that I'm moved and getting my computer set up properly and such I'm rebuilding my Clash bootleg collection and Marky's remasters are my priority downloads. Wonderful stuff Marky. I've been particularly reacquainting myself with those 70s boots and your work is spectacular.

I think the whole thing is criminal. I mean how many kidney machines would the cost of that dress bought. Or how many people would it could take off the street or how many starving people would it feed....oh fuck just don't get me started on the complete and utter waste of space the Royals are!
You're preaching to the choir, you filthy peasant.

Hey Marky, I'm downloading your Bonds show right now. Looking forward to it. What source(s) did you use?

A guy called Chris known here as "Xtopher" contacted me over my previous downloads. When it got to this specific Bonds gig I played my boot CD from years back and other versions Chris and I had. I checked all the variants against each other and read all the posts/blogs info I could. TeddyB mentioned some time ago there were a couple of variants of the show a great sounding one (the one I have) that sadly had Mick mixed so low you could barely here him. Another version which I didn't have that had Mick fully sounding and possibly mixed by Mick himself more info on this at Blackmarketclash.com.

After many attempts to bring Mick back up into the mix (over 20) I couldn't do it without it being detrimental to Joe's vocals. Much head scratching ensued then Chris contacted me saying he had found a CD of the show for sale on a Japanese site. He very kindly purchased this and sent it to me. I played it through and indeed it is the most fullest version of the gig with a slight snippet of the "60 Seconds to What?" intro. After running this through my software I detected there are 3 sources with "Complete Control" and"Lightning Strikes" being the official released "FHTE" version edited in. Unhappy (still) with the overall sound I went about remixing to get a better smoother (transition) sound and what you now have is the result of months of work. I went for a very live "in your face" mix.

I hope you enjoy it.
Fantastic, thanks for the details. Just because they make good stories, and also to better appreciate the work that goes into these releases, off the top of your head which other of these Remasters involved that kind of source-exploring legwork? Or do they mostly all do? It's an incredible (and much appreciated) amount of time and effort (and money, from the sounds of it).

I'm working on getting my digital music collection streaming to my stereo, once I have that dialed in I might have to make this show the inaugural music to listen to with that setup. :approve:

Downloading now, thanks to Marky and Chris for the work put in. Looking forward to giving this a whirl.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I cannot wait to hear this. Many people say its not that great a show but i Always liked my "chaos in NY" boot. Not Just because of its great fidelity or the history of The Bonds residency but because i think The clash were Just at their very best at that time. And The tracks from this show are The Highlights of fhte which got me into The clash.
Great to have an Upgrade
