Marky Dread Remasters
Re: Marky Dread Remasters
First a concert in 1984 then two concerts eight years earlier. Two completely different sets (except one song), eight different musicians. There's no need to get bored, these historical documents are a real pleasure, improved sound and great artwork. Thanks again for the passion you put into it.
Music is the only thing that matters
Re: Marky Dread Remasters
Thank you very much Marky...
i haven't enjoyed a Clash gig so much for ages...
sounds great, so much more of Joe's telecaster...
it makes all the difference... that Bo Diddley rythym...
and reminds me that they had amassed such a catalogue of classics in such a short space of time...
and judging from this, it will be difficult to beat ..
sounds like Mick on some songs was using an mxr phaser pedal or some effect like that...
his guitar sounds different...
I'm looking forward to hearing all your other remixes...
downloaded
thanks for your efforts

Marky, I haven't had the chance to listen to your remasters yet, but I really love your artwork and sleeve designs. Stylish work, appropriate to the point, great photos. Well chosen colours, strong imagery. Very much to the spirit of the band IMO. It has been a great visual pleasure to go through this thread.
BTW, Is the album art included in the downloadable files or are they only as attachments?
You've pulled me back to the Clashland.

Cheers Vim all the art is included in the file. One of the '78 shows from the Music Machine had the wrong date but you can grab the correct date from the thread if you read through.Vimmattu wrote: ↑23 Jul 2018, 5:35pmMarky, I haven't had the chance to listen to your remasters yet, but I really love your artwork and sleeve designs. Very well said Vimm and the photos are of the same era if not the actual show.Vimmattu wrote: ↑23 Jul 2018, 5:35pmMarky, I haven't had the chance to listen to your remasters yet, but I really love your artwork and sleeve designs. It has always irritated me to see say a 1978 photo of the band on a 1981 show if you get my drift.
A top man that Sparks chap.

Re: Marky Dread Remasters
Can anyone recommend a decent, free FLAC to Mp3 converter? The one I've been using lately is now just sticking whenm I try to convert. I used to have Batch converter that came with my laptop but that also had issues when I tried to convert multiple files. Thanks in advance.

I've used FlacSquisher in the past: https://sourceforge.net/projects/flacsquisher/Heston wrote: ↑24 Jul 2018, 9:35amCan anyone recommend a decent, free FLAC to Mp3 converter? I'm neurotic enough about my music files that I actually paid for dbpoweramp for CD ripping and file conversion: https://www.dbpoweramp.com/
Great, great program.
