Listening to these 83 shows, man...they were good then. Pete was a fabulous match for that frontline. Topper's human metronome thing was a huge asset but it also would often let Mick and Joe off the hook for remembering where the hell they were in a song. Pete hammers the cues so hard that it really keeps Mick's guitar disciplined and Joe doesn't get lost. Tuscon is especially great.

What coulda been....
The Tucson show might just have the best performances of Radio Clash and Magnificent Seven that I've ever heard. It's crazy that was Mick's second to last show, they sounded on fire that night.
It's shot up the list of my favorite clash boots pretty quick here. The Tuscon Straight to Hell is maybe the ultimate live version of that song. Mick and Pete are absolutely locked in. So good!

All thanks to Marky for all the excellent audio!
The Tucson Car Jamming is off the charts. That beat Pete plays is unreal.

Great stuff. Pete really could whack those skins.

Cheers mate. It's a fun listen to hear the complete show. You will notice the different noise print on 6 of the tracks coming from the audience recording but it's all very listenable. It was a pain getting the transitions to flow but it works pretty good I think.

Listened through the new songs first from the audience recording, it sounds great! Thanks so much Marky for finding this and remastering it! Can't wait to dive into the whole show. I know this one gets beat on a bunch for not exactly being the greatest show (mainly from Joe's illness, whatever it was he had) but I really like this one. I always found that Joe's tired voice helped a few of the songs, mainly Charlie Don't Surf and Armagideon Time. The raspy, struggling voice fits well for the theme of the songs.

Edit

Hopefully this new recording being discovered leads to some more from this tour in the Far East. We seriously need something from the Sydney residency.

I was wondering Marky, would you be able to make the full audience recording available? I'd completely understand if you wouldn't want to or couldn't but it'd be nice to have at least for completion sake.

Really great remaster, Marky. This show was one of the first live Clash shows I ever listened to. Joe is clearly having a rough time singing, but you can tell he's giving it his all. The handwritten setlist on the artwork is a nice touch too. Thanks very much for this!
