Wash. Bullets straight into Silicone would be a rough one though. But yeah, it's weird they did that with Crooked Beat and One More Time, and then just dropped the idea.
I don't even think you have to have the dubs immediately following the songs proper. It might make it more interesting if you didn't, and I know I for one have always felt that by the tail end of the One More Time/One More Dub I'm ready for something else. That's an open topic for debate, I'm not sold either way there.
I am a fan of a dub version following on from the primal version I think it works well and carries on the vibe.

Now I'm wondering what that POMB dub thing could have possibly been. The song doesn't exactly lend itself to the extended fader/effect workouts of the spacier material.

What was the special edition going to include? I thought Teddy B mentioned like one or two outakes.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Maybe trying to revisit what Scratch had tried to do with Complete Control?

Clash Hot Take: Sandinista would have been at least 10% improved with better track sequencing. Mix the dubs in with the regular songs and the albums' energy would have carried through the whole way a lot more. You would have lost some of the 1-2 punches of those first 4-5 sides, but the overall improvement would have been worth it.
The beauty of it is with simple free software you can mix the songs however you want so I have One More Time mixed with One more Dub, just as I have Bankrobber mixed with Robber Dub and Rockers Galore and Arm. Time with Justice Tonight

And if you want Sandinista to sound like CTC, you play Mensforth Hill at the same time as Police On My Back and random jarring percussion on your keyboard in audacity. This is the modern world.
