It's look like the Athens gig trought
but i red the french comments bellow and the guy speak about the "first french punk festival"
wich was the Mont de Marsan festival
Still a bit confuse but i know that the footage of the Mont marsan exist and i heard here in France 2/3 years ago that there were some discussions about let it appear...
Plus the fact that the band without Mick and Topper wasn't the Clash anymore i think it's about The Mont de Marsan gig

All a bit confusing but I believe the French part has to do with the Elixir Festival which took place in late 70s to mid 80s and ties in with the dates and groups displayed on the trailer. That doesn't explain the Clash angle. Best guess is there was some kind of tie-in between Elixir and Athens, hard to say really.

Isn't all the footage, except for that 77 Clash footage from Athens? Certainly most of the bands listed much the bill from the Athens fest (Culture Club, Depeche Mode, etc.).

Also note the Clash were scheduled to play the Elixir in 85 but, as with a lot of their gigs at the tine, they didn't fulfil the fixture so that may be part of the mix.

Edit: am confusing myself now, but the gig listed as Rockscene Festival, July 85, on BMC apparently is the Elixir Festival so they did play after all, with Leonard Cohen and Depeche Mode down the bill. The same night Clash and Depeche Mode roadies got into a fist fight. Still leaves the mystery of Athens though.

But i've got to say that, as we know, the Mont Marsan Clash Gig been recorded (at list the video) and i heard fews years back now from a a guy wha was (and still) a friend of Marc Zermati, that they were bargaining for an official release
