Not usually a big fan of the Meskie's Clash covers but I watched this pissed last night and it really blew me away. I noticed Kaleb uploaded too, cheers K!

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Yes, on Joe's birthday.

Saw them about three months after that. It's so weird, because at the time, I thought Joe looked so old. But looking at this video, he doesn't look old at all. Maybe because he was only four years older than I am now. Ugh...still hurts that he's gone.

This is a very special recording that really touches me.

I saw Joe a few times in Rocker billy war and as Just Joe Strummer and all the perfomances were bloody awful and i only enjoyed watching them because i was being bias as it was Joe on stage and not because of the performances themselves .
I am not a Meskie fan at all but its great to see Joe not only enjoying his musical career with out the clash but also being really proud of what hes achieved with the Mescaleros. This is a recording of Joe very happy indeed and its great that its captured on a great recording for everyone to see..

I particuraly like the bit he sings "my oh my how you have grown" which i take as a nod to his loyal fans over the years that have stood by him .
