This evil darling, the deep blue sky
To me the rain in a dying man's dye

Could this make sense? Joe definitely says "dying man's die/dye", you can hear the pronounced "d."

Another one...

But the senoritas you've befriended
Curls die in the mirrors of their eyes?

OK Mr. Heston I've remixed the track so DL and listen. I'm convinced these are the correct lyrics now.

Woah!
In this town, that's the way-ay-ay-aaaaay it goes.
Say seven words for the sailors
Over out on the sea
But there ain't no saint just for killers
No mamma's gonna pray for me
Well I was blown here by the wind
The risky city left her man
The dust is singing 'cowboy died here'
But he's still reading the tombstone names
And knew how hard it was to cry
This evil darling, the deep blue sky
To be the rake in a dying man's time
On the cry for water we get no reply
Beg for mercy and laughter fills the sky
Dog Town
Mourning, she cries.
This life is easier girl you're rattled and you're out
Dog Town
Java fruit from acid rain
Go see if the coffin kid's got a lid that bears your claim
In this town, that's the way-ay-ay-aaaaay it goes.
You've heard of lamp-lit haciendas
With one-eyed girls who harmonize
But the senoritas you've befriended
Killers die in the mirrors of their eyes
She shot seven shotgun shells
Into the netherworlds of Hell
She slaughtered 9 fine white chickens
So you can never break the spell
Gonna burn down boy
And you're bound to die
Down in canyons
Beyond the blind people's eye
She'll leave your bones
In the hunting ground
Apache war dead
Guarding your soul
Dead like a rock
Never more to roll
Dog Town
Mourning, she cries.
Barrels from the shotgun blare pass right between your eyes
Dog Town
Guava fruit from acid rain
Go see if the coffin kid's got a lid that bears your name
Dog Town
Mourning, she cries.
Barrels from the shotgun blare pass right between your eyes
Bad dream boy 'bout my last night's Dog Town fight
Go see if the coffin kid's got a box that'll do your size.
In this town, that's the way-ay-ay-aaaaay it goes

Could this make sense? Joe definitely says "dying man's die/dye", you can hear the pronounced "d."

Another one...

I think it's "time" which can sometimes sound like a "d" sound when it's a "t".

It's "killers" not "curls".

Yes, your mix has brought it out and I think it's now correct or 99.99% perfect.

Great work Marky, especially the "9 fine white chickens"

Quoting this for future out-of-context reference.

One last change I think "Gonna blow down boy" is actually "Gonna burn down boy". I've edited the lyric above.

I think it's a wonderful song, can't get enough of it now I finally know the lyrics. I've just been hearing the odd word and phrase here and there for years.

I think it might actually say "The rusty city left by man" - Or maybe "loved by man..."

Dammit Joe, enunciate!
