I honestly can't decide which is a more odious and incongruous number for Joe to perform.

Boogie is more musically excruciating. Fingerpoppin' makes us have to picture Joe dressed like Sonny Crockett, being sleazy and pointing at chicks he wants to bang. That is mentally excruciating.

That said, I can still get through Fingerpoppin', whereas I skip Boogie every fucking time.

It's the difference between a bad comedy and a bad action movie. The former is living death, the latter can be turned into something entertaining by mocking it. Which is, to a lesser degree, how I'd differentiate EQ and CtC. EQ is mostly just flat and uninspired, whereas CtC is an explosion of awful that begs to be ridiculed.
