This just arrived from Juno records, very nice sound quality and good set list.

Re: Hitsville hit LA
Why didn't they make it a double album and include all 20 tracks. 5 tracks a side would've worked great. I've got the cd which is sourced from mp3 as I expect the vinyl is also.

Ah I assumed it was all that was broadcast? It sounds good to be fair.Marky Dread wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 9:48amWhy didn't they make it a double album and include all 20 tracks. 5 tracks a side would've worked great. I've got the cd which is sourced from mp3 as I expect the vinyl is also.

It's the same House of Blues gig that I included in the "Without People You're Nothing" box set I put together.motorsmell wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 1:17pmAh I assumed it was all that was broadcast? Ah not got through it all yet, nice one.
Does seem a shame they didn't do the whole show now...it also baffles me why no proper official live albums have been released...Since Lemmy died Motorhead have been pumping(milking) out sound board live LPs don't see why the mescaleros only scatter live tracks around.
However apparently the Don Let's Brixton footage is getting a dvd release soon...

Yeah there's some excellent Meskies live shows out there. Maybe 003 will cover live stuff?motorsmell wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 1:45pmAh not got through it all yet, nice one.

Looking forward to Brixton dvd. That vinyl album is a nice addition for vinyl lovers but a double would've covered the complete show. Maybe as a boot it wouldn't sell that many and is more viable as a single album.

Ive heard Lucinda mention Live stuff and the covers album he did during the "Wilderness" years (I don't think it was that un productive personally). Yeah the LP is great but it's a weird one as it's on a label and so I assume there's some loop hole where you can buy the license for radio broadcasts...same as all those CODA records double 10inch live clash setsMarky Dread wrote: ↑07 Jan 2023, 2:10pmYeah there's some excellent Meskies live shows out there. Lots of "semi legit" out there these days. I think some of it comes down to where it's manufactured.
