Around the time of the 001 set Lucinda did a great 2 hour guest appearance on flipside radio. She selected some tunes she and Joe would play at home and this came up as one of Joe's favourite records. I got it a while ago and love it! Also it has the original "before I grow too old" on which Joe latter did with the mescaleros. Listening to these tunes you can hear a direct influence to Joe's post clash stuff...anyway I can advise the purchase of this...it's tasty
P.s
I have zero idea why the photos are this way up

Listening now and I'm very much enjoying it. I did a little reading on the context of the album and apparently it's something of a cult classic in the UK.
I'm in the Southern US and had never heard of Louisiana "swamp pop" before, so this is a revelation!
I had checked out the original Bobby Charles version of Before I Grow Too Old but had no idea Joe's version was a cover of a cover. I love learning about stuff like that.
Interestingly it was also covered by Beats International on their 'Let Them Eat Bingo" album. The same album with "Dub Be Good to Me" that samples "The Guns of Brixton". Though there's no Clash/Simonon credit listed.
Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...
No fuchsias for you.

Ah nice one! That's another clash related LP to hunt down! Marky what do you reckon to the pearl harbor "don't follow me" LP? I really like it and what a cast of players! Blockheads/clash perfect combination!

I think it's great I've got the vinyl and enjoy it. Recently there's been a digital upload of it with extra tracks but no physical cd.
I have a rip of my vinyl with artwork if you need an upload.

Just "Nerves" which was a b-side. The digital download adds a couple of extra tracks from later singles I think. Will upload soon.
