Has anyone else noticed how immediate and quick Joe Strummer's lyrics were?

I've grown convinced that
A) Strummer was reading a lot of Marxist stuff around the time of Sandinista!
B) the faux New York "Cheeseboiger!" in Mag 7 - a lyric that's all about the immorality of wage labour and consumer culture - is about McDonalds in the UK and the redundancy of encroaching globalisation.

He used to hate the taste of cheese.
Then he joined The Clash and it became cheese heaven.

He only joined after he was grilled by Mick and Paul.

How can I understand the cheese?. Maybe that was Joe's statement. Also it was a time of police and cheese in the street. I think Joe found it hard at first and this was reflected in his writing "White Stilton Riot" but then he took "Cheese Control" and by the time of their 4th single they were totally on it with "Clash City Cheddars".

You just need to listen to the Future is Unwritten soundtrack. Keys to your heart already mentioned (used to hate the taste of cheese) through to Willesden to Cricklewood (get the mozarella in) via MC5 Kick out the Jams sandwiches (in favour of cheese ones obviously), and the original version of the song we know was rewritten and toughened up, Smorgasbord in the USA.

Johhnie was the name of the guy that Joe knew from the local butter market where he bought his cheese.
