I can think of one guest who would be very special but not so much of a surprise ;)

Looks great though, wish I was in a position to attend.

Goddammit, if I could be there I would. I'm sure it'll be a cracking night.
Actually I MIGHT get along for a late drink, even if the bands are all done.
Thanks for the plug though TeddyB!

15 years !!!
We were lucky enough to have been at that gig and got ourselves positioned right by Joe's feet, at the end of the gig my partner asked Joe's roadie if we could have the set-list that had been gaffa taped to the stage by his feet and he eventually passed it down to her, I then proceeded to take it home with extreme care so as to not rip it.
To this day it remains framed on the wall !!

Can't believe it's been 15 years. I also can't believe it's been 15 years and we haven't gotten any kind of box set or anthology yet!

Maybe they’re waiting for 20 years...

Surely someone must give enough of a shit to make it happen?!

Hard to imagine this hasn't happened yet really - wonder what came of those great plans we heard of? Either way, whether those plans (a book, unheard recordings, handwritten lyrics) were too challenging to put together or not, impossible to believe we haven't really had a single posthumous comp apart from The Future is Unwritten which, while very well done, is really more movie soundtrack and, in any event, is 1/2 other people's songs. At the end of the day, I'd settle for a single disc career spanning collection at this point, as it would at least be nice to know that the powers that be thought it worth the effort.

At the time it was originally mooted to release somethingthere was talk of finding a box containing lyrics, demos, songs, all sorts.
It would be a real shame if they now didn’t see light of day.

15 years today (err, yesterday now)... on that day i was a senior in high school. was xmas shopping at the mall with my two best friends when my friend's mom called him to tell him. two years ago i spent a night walking around to all joe's old haunts. tonight i went to visit the mural (awful as it was) to find it's gone! so i ending up heading over to joe's old squat near edgware rd station ("joe strummer subway"). RIP joe.

Just saw this on Joe's official Facebook page. Is there a full recording of "Rose of Erin"? And what session was it from? Joe looks to be pre-Mescaleros, what with his hair and lean-ness...
