For some reason I thought Over The Border was At The Border. Obviously it isn’t and is a track I have never heard before?
It's a great song and there is actually 2 versions if it.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Is it closer lyrically to the CTC version or Where Is England/ Chekoslavic Song?

Where did Before We Go Forward come from???
Sounds like it should be on Sandinista. A bit Sound Of The Sinners a bit The Leader.

Ok so the version Laxman posted is the one on the vinyl / CD Where Is England.
The one on the 7” is This Is England!!
Haven’t checked all the lyrics but has TIE chorus.
Forget the Where Is England version this one is all that x 10.

I've got the mp3s from Amazon in lieu of the CD arriving tomorrow. Will throw my review up tonight, I'm taking it to the lab.

Just downloaded the iTunes version in case it's got better mastering. Alas, it's pretty brickwalled. Maybe the vinyl will be better.

Put on "Pouring Rain" for a start. Joe's semi-talk phrasing in the verse is eerily like some of Mick's C/S vocals.

Edit: Listed to a few other bits. The "enormous" sound on, say, "Trash City" is definitely loud mastering. You can hear things you might not have before, but at the expense of dynamics.

Just listened through once, have gone back to the beginning. So glad this has finally seen the light of day, more hidden treasures and surprises than I could of ever have considered existing about 3 months ago.

Yep Im still trying to work out which tracks are different versions or remixed to those I had heard before.

A lot of stuff sounds much clearer. I'm pretty sure Sandpaper Blues is a different mix.

Edit: Definitely a different mix, there's acoustic guitar on the Rock, Art version that isn't on here. Levels sound different too.
