Planning a trip to UK? Ooops!

Post by Red star 69 »

With the fire in the channel tunnel yesterday and then XL.com going bust and leaving around 70,000 holiday makers stranded this morning, there is one thing I´d like to know... Is anyone getting in or out of the UK at the moment?

I saw the traffic queues at Folkstone and Calais on Sky this morning and also a report on the chaos caused by the grounding of XL´s planes (Which I found a bit odd as they only have 19 aircraft) and decided not to embark on my planned long weekend "back in blighty".
The root of all faults, all failings, is nothing other than ignorance. This ignorance is like mistaking a heap of stones on the horizon for a human figure; it has no basis whatsoever, which means that even the source of of these faults and failings does not exist.

And another holiday firm has gone bust this weekend.

Mind you, why would you want to leave the UK - we have such glorious weather here. ;)

Sunshine -- I've read about it in books and seen it in movies, but after the past several weeks, I'm positive it's a myth.
