What do you like? Do you like cocaine?
Who doesn't?
Not Len Bias, that's for sure.

Anything that involves rock and roll, man. So, by extension, yes.

Still money off your next flight sir please fly again!

Not really much of note. The cocaine bar is the New Belmont on Colonial Ave. Cogan's on Colley used to be owned by a friend of mine--fairly solid bar, mixed crowd of academics, punks, skinheads, yuppies, and hipsters.

See? Damn media never reported to ME that he was freebasing. I really should try it -- will knock off the rest of that baby weight. :shifty:

Q. re. terrorism strategy. So, both Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and Richard Reid (the shoe bomber), had basically the same idea—combine some chemicals to create an explosion that would blow a hole in the plane, bringing it down. In both cases, they were stopped, in part, by passengers (also, the bombs didn't ignite) around them. Why the fuck didn't they go to the lavatory to do this? It offers privacy and extra time to do it right. Are lavatories super-reinforced to be impervious to bombs? I thought Reid was a dope when he got nailed lighting matches while in his seat, and now this Abdulmutallab does the same damn thing. Good enough to get thru security, too dumb to set the bomb off …

I think part of the reason Abdulmutallab didn't go to the bathroom is that he wanted to be over one of the large tanks. That's why he specifically sat in seat 19-A. The fuel tank wouldn't have been full, but rather would have had fumes that would be highly combustable. Kind of like what brought down TWA 800, if you believe it wasn't shot down.

Ah, I see. I thought the goal of the bomb was to just create a hole and decompression and all that. I didn't realize that the intent was to spark a greater explosion.

Yeah -- I think that even with the hole, it most likely would have landed safely. If he was able to set the bomb off, it would have definitely blown up that plane. Instead, it just blew up his junk.
