Never forget. Never forgive. All I need to know about radical Islam I learned on 9-11.

I would've liked to have seen Osama strung up. Too bad that got derailed.

Great. I look forward to reading what you think about radical Islam. Do elucidate. The thread is yours, Steve.

Extra points if you can do a better job than McCain in discerning the difference between Sunni and Shia Islam, both historically and in the context of events since, oh, let's say the Iranian Revolution.

My problem is that 9-11 was yesterday so do I remember 9-11 on 9-11 which is actuallly 9-10 or do I remember 9-11 on 9-12 which was when it was 9-11

It'd be great if we didn't bother with the nuances of argument and just let pithy blankets fly across the board.

Nuance is for faggy liberals. Bold statements prove your worth.

I don't think one can make an argument supporting radical Islam. I think many are unable to hear an opinion on radical Islam and separate it from Islam.

That's fantastic. Good post.

I'd still like to read what you learned about radical Islam.

Hilarious.

A friend's father died on the top floors of the WTC on 9/11. They didn't have a body to bury,

I'd love to hear your reductive simplifications fly past him.

Just to be clear -- my problem is with the fact that gross oversimplifications are a disservice. Radical Islam is a convenient menace, as communism was before it, that too often proves to be lazy shorthand for any real consideration and thinking.

Fuck all that. 3,000 people died for a collection of cunts could prove a point. The government let it happen through its own stupidity and then used it to crack down on all undesirables. It was a terrible day and has been made more terrible by those who use it for gain both in country and out.

3,000 souls. Normal jacks like you and I.
