One of my top three favourite Futurama scenes:

Those are fantastic.

I was going to do a one act play called Presley/Nixon

but there's a film about that meeting already, which looks unwatchable, so I've never done it.

I remember reading an account of Elvis' meeting with Nixon. What stands out is that Nixon and his aides were unnerved that Elvis spent *a lot* of time during the meeting picking at his face. Maybe not the best behaviour when asking for a DEA badge to avoid airport searches.

In honour of the inauguration (and eventual resignation) of this thread, today I'm wearing my "Nixon's the One" '68 campaign shirt.

I've done some digging and it looks like Nixon's the only President who didn't clutter up the oval office book shelves with... books.

I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

That photo of Nixon on your shirt must have been taken after bowling. He wouldn't have managed such a natural smile otherwise.

Further to the above, there's mention of Nixon's life from 1961 to 1968 being known to historians as his Wilderness Years, and my immediate thought was, "Which incident was his 'Boogie With Your Children'?"

The Kennedy debates are so his Combat Rock.

I thought I'd posted this already, but heres Nixon's grandson and his bizarre, inflatable, robbed-from-the-cradle wife in China.
