I tried my home state and it was the 6th least recognized. It made me kind of sad...

When #'s 7 and 8 are the Dakotas, most of the nation loses confidence in itself.

Fuck, my home state came in 12th! Usually we're between 47th and 50th in everything!

It's weird that South Carolina is better known than Illinois by a fair margin, but I guess lots of embarrassing news comes out about SC all the time.

I got 43/50 by coming in with Delaware.

Edit: tried again with Connecticut and got 48/50.

Im amazed Connecticut and Massachusetts were so far down further than Vermont. I find this odd because I cant tell you how many times ive been asked questions like

Vermont? What state is that in? Or Vermont, thats part of Canada right?

When the boss and I moved down to NC, our car (which would later be sold to be cubed for, seriously, $50) had Saskatchewan plates. On not one but two occasions, locals asked us if they were special county tags. Of course, we saw all kinds of people driving around with taped up notes in their rear windshield that read "Tag applied for," so who the fuck knows what was up or down there.

Up WAS down there.

As a Nutmeggia native I was dead-on certain CT would be bottom-three. Just about the least culturally distinctive state in the land.

Massholia shocks me coming this soon after the Super Bowl schadenfreude. On sports, driving habits, and supremely annoying townie celebrities alone that should've been worth a Top 20 finish.

Well, he'd already be dead then, silly, for "not complying."

He is already blaming the whole thing on an "overzealous liberal prosecutor" who just *happens* to be a black woman.

The sad part of this is, he was about to sign a bill that my organization wrote and helped push through that would have been the one actual good bill this legislative session. Now he's just going to let it die because of this.

From my friend, State Rep. Stacey Newman:

Vote to begin impeachment process of the Governor.

Resolution passes unanimously 154-0.

Wow. Was he an outsider when he ran for governor? Amazing that there's no token support, even if it's just a resolution.
