I'll probably be getting a call from my mom soon with the reaction. She's a HS teacher in another town whose school has had a couple preventative lockdowns triggered by gun incidents. This is gonna leave a lasting mark.

School doors are locked to visitors per policy, so to have gotten in the building he'd have to have been buzzed in by the office staff. Makes it likely that it was somebody known at/to the school.

Dressed in full combat fatigues. Just like the Mall shooter several days ago. A Glock and a semi-auto rifle, with shitload of ammo. Took his own life. His house was apparently "booby-trapped" when they searched it, so was immaculately planned. And somebody else was involved because there's an arrest.

The intercom came on from the office to warn the school. The kids interviewed said they heard screaming and gunshots in the background when he was mowing down the office.

Students were told to close/cover their eyes and join hands in a chain, because they had to walk through the blood-splattered hallway and pass dead bodies to evacuate. So...given the odds that most of them actually got through that gauntlet without taking a peek. . . :(

Only 3 injured showed up at the hospital. After they set up a huge triage area for the wounded. 1 teacher who got shot in the foot and is fine, and 2 other undisclosed (they're not saying if severe or not, or whether kids or adults). Everybody else was a fatality, including the school principal. It does not appear that the death toll is going to rise much...they think they've got nearly all accounted for.

That's the guy. His Facebook page is on all the channels now. And Facebook just took the page down.

24 yrs. old. Originally from Newtown, but currently lives in Hoboken, NJ (which explains the earlier reports of police activity in NJ). There was a body found in a house in Newtown that the police investigated related to the shooting. Unconfirmed reports that it's his folks' home, and that he killed his mom before going to the school.
