What I am saying is that Obama has done things that, while not comparable to a historic evil like chattel slavery, go far beyond my moral comfort zone. Everyone must define their own deal-breakers.

That's the thing—it's about listening to your conscience. And arguing that not supporting Obama means indirect support of Romney suggests that that person isn't listening to their conscience. If you're fine with a guy who orders the regular anonymous attacks on kids, who says the govt can assassinate its own citizens without due process, that's your conscience. If repealing DADT is sufficient in your mind and gut, that's up to you. But to say that you'll ignore or explain it all away because the other guy might be worse is running away from your own conscience. Which is what political operations always count on. Voting purely out of fear should be a sign that you might want to reconsider whether you should vote at all.
