The collapse of American power has been evident for some time, but it is nonetheless fascinating as fuck to watch it play out in real time in these symbolic moments and gestures. In the same way that if meaningful gun control ever comes to the US, it'll be a conservative who does it. Possibly related to demographics that make white people a minority and clamps are desired on all those scary people having guns.
