Yeah, St. Obama sure used his anti-Trump magic powers to ensure the people of Flint wouldn't have to drink fucking lead, didn't he?

Came across this from Aldous Huxley: "The propagandist's purpose is to make one set of people forget that certain other sets of people are human."

Very worthwhile remembering whenever discussion turns to immigrants, black people, Muslims, etc. If the people in question are being denied a shared humanity, it's propaganda and deserves to be rejected out of hand.

True enough, but generally it seems that the people the fall for propaganda regularly aren't going to remember this, while those that don't, don't even have to try.

I really like that Twilight Zone episode "Time Enough at Last." Except when he breaks his glasses and can't read. But the rest of it seems cool.

I've said before that I really don't care for that one. TZ's idea of justice is supposed to be that shitheels will get theirs in the end, usually in ironic ways. Burgess Meredith did nothing wrong in that episode. Decent guy who just wants to be able to enjoy his books, yet he's surrounded by assholes. And when he finally gets his chance, his glasses break. What the fuck? The moral is that this guy was born to get fucked over? It's an episode that just relishes kicking a guy when he's down.

Sometimes a nice, dark episode is good for the soul though. I don't like a happy ending on everything. Either way, I identify with that guy so I wish his glasses had stayed intact. But also: hey dude, you can just go looking for more glasses. They're all free now. Grab an umbrella with a gas gun in it while you're out.

There's no chance of me doing what Bob Avakian tells me to.

I've lost count on how many times I've felt like BM in that episode.
