I just saw an "Unwrapped" episode on the food network that showed how they do the curl. That actually looks fucking tricky.

True and semi-embarrassing story: I was fired from Dairy Queen when I was sixteen for not being able to make the the little curl at the top of the ice cream cone. Admittedly, several of us were going to get fired anyway—the guy hired five people for one position then waited to see who would be the best wage-slave. My lack of wrist control earned me a kick out the door.

Any clue where you got your lesion? I'm thinking mine was a childhood fever--my dentist remarked to me that I must have had a pretty bad fever as a kid based on my enamel. Could've caused both.

No idea. Never got really fucked up on drugs or had a fall or a stroke or get really sick. The closest thing was twice when I was an infant I fell down the stairs in my walker when the door to the basement was left open. But that was close to forty years ago and my symptoms didn't emerge till about three years ago.
