You can't heap enough praise and credit on Jamie Reid for the Pistols endurance. Apart from the Beatles—and it was, in part, just because they were The Beatles—has any other band been associated with such iconic sleeve art?Marky Dread wrote:Jamie Reid the inspiration.

Re: a beautiful religion
The simple answer is no and it has to be said that after John Lydon left the group and the Swindle was released those hit singles were down to the iconography as much as the music. It's no surprise that Sid's "Something Else" single outsold "God Save The Queen" with the cash-in of his recent death and that fantastic cartoon Jamie Reid sleeve.Dr. Medulla wrote:You can't heap enough praise and credit on Jamie Reid for the Pistols endurance. Re: a beautiful religion
One of the beautiful twists surrounding the Pistols is that, indeed, they sold even more after they were no longer a functioning group, thus validating McLaren's joke that it was never about the music, but solely hype. The whole thing is immensely amusing and perverted.Marky Dread wrote:The simple answer is no and it has to be said that after John Lydon left the group and the Swindle was released those hit singles were down to the iconography as much as the music. I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Re: a beautiful religion
how about these wonderful people. i think i might join...Dr. Medulla wrote:Compare that to the batshittery going on in Canada because of the bus murder: people wanting metal detectors, pat down searches, fearful of getting on buses now, calls for a quick execution of the killer. So, a freak occurrence has people over-reacting, yet people continue to flock to festivals where people are not irregularly killed. Which is crazier?Indian temples are regularly hit by stampedes, as huge crowds of Hindu devotees flock to make offerings at festival times.
There have been at least three fatal stampedes in the country so far during 2008, although the numbers killed were far smaller than in the latest incident.

Probably but I wouldn't like to say for sure 'cause the court would decide in favour of Max and I would become a pauper!
