Not without quibbles, but I thought this was basically a good piece on bias against Sanders.

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

Re: The IMCT Media Criticism Thread
My impressions at the time was that the press coverage—the critical, that is—was coded in a caricature of Millennials as unserious, lazy, and fantasy-driven. Clinton was for adults (Boomers) with long resumés and know-how to apply the same solutions to any given problem. There's almost certainly a lot of my own analytical bias in all that, but the anti-Sanders coverage was generational.eumaas wrote:http://harpers.org/archive/2016/11/swat ... /?single=1

Good read. As you say, not without quibbles, but a better analysis than I've come to expect from self-proclaimed liberals this year.eumaas wrote:http://harpers.org/archive/2016/11/swat ... /?single=1

Pretty good. Looks like Assange has probably gone nuts. Still, Podesta emails have been revealing. It's interesting to get a glimpse into how the ruling class operates.

That's made me feel a little better. The same institution that banned it from reaching number 1 all those years ago. Now happy to replace the official anthem with the Sex Pistols. At last job done.Inder wrote:
